Sweet Cicely Fern

Rarely seen for sale as it's so difficult to germinate but a joy to grow once established and a stunning edible herb.
It is a soft edible fern with good shape and structure and a mild aniseed taste. It is lovely stuck to buttercream as part of a floral cake design and similarly on flower biscuits such as the two examples shown here by the Blushing Cook.
Sweet Cicely is a soft herb so whilst it is brilliant pressed or stuck to buttercream it will wilt quickly if just balanced on a cake.
