Garlic chives are beautiful clusters of strong garlic flavoured white stars.

They are very much the wild garlic of the Autumn and the timing of their flowering perfectly crosses that lovely slide from summer into autumn and thus they are equally at home decorating a tomato salad as they are tossed onto a beef stew and dumplings. 

Too strong for cakes or cookies these are lovely embracing all things savoury and would also be lovely floating on a cheeky Bloody Mary.
