Bond's traditional cocktail gets a floral twist for the after party of the premiere of Spectre in London.
Bond's traditional martini was both 'shaken' and 'stirred' up and garnished with edible flowers for the premiere of Spectre in London last night by Maddocks Farm Organics. So exciting! When a chef phones and says he wants literally thousands of British edible flowers for the end of October you gulp. When he says the flowers are to garnish cocktails and canapés for the premiere of Spectre and the theme is Mexican Day of the Dead you double gulp. Maddocks Farm Organics was delighted to be approached to provide the edible flowers for garnishing both the cocktails and canapés for this incredibly prestigious event and we were delighted that the organisers and caterers chose to use British edible flowers for such an iconic British movie. We picked seasonal and colourful edible flowers for garnishing both the cocktails and canapés for this incredibly prestigious event and we were delighted that the organisers and caterers chose to use organic British edible flowers for such an iconic British movie. This was not easy to arrange as the premiere took place in the UK at the end of October and literally thousands of flowers were required so we coordinated with other British edible flower growers to ensure that the event had the wonderful floral theme that the organisers wanted in order to reflect the day of the dead theme. Thanks goes to Alex at our wonderful wholesalers Mash Purveyors for working so hard to help coordinate other UK edible flower growers. However, the weather was kind to us and despite three weeks of sleepless nights and lots of fleecing and unfleecing our lovely mild corner of Devon, Maddocks Farm Organics was thrilled to send literally thousands of edible flowers up to London including dahlias, calendulas, nasturtiums, phlox and dianthus and this event was a stunning highlight to what has been an incredible edible flower season.
