Delivery terms and costs

Delivery deadlines, costs and other information.

If I want my flowers for a particular date when should I order them?

You can order the flowers as soon as you like and we would recommend this as we get oversubscribed pretty much every weekend of the year.

When you order you will be asked to choose which date on which you would like your flowers delivered.  If you have a special occasion for which you would like to use the flowers then we would recommend ordering the flowers to be delivered on the previous day. The fresher the flowers are used the better. For example for a Saturday wedding we would suggest picking on the Thursday to be delivered to you on the Friday morning. The flowers are then fine in their punnets in the fridge until the Saturday morning.

What do I do if I’m going to be out when they are delivered?

We can arrange delivery to your home, your office, your neighbour or even direct to your wedding venue. It is entirely up to you. All we need is the full postal address; a contact name and a mobile phone number.  If for some reason you will not be there to sign for the parcel then the courier can leave it, if given prior instructions, in a safe place but we, and the courier, take no responsibility for any flowers left. Couriers work long hard hours and it is not their responsibility to chase from neighbour to neighbour trying to find somebody to sign for your parcel. You need to make arrangements if you are not going to be there. The courier will contact you directly on the morning of the delivery to confirm the time. They will send you the tracking number the night they are despatched so that you can track your delivery. IF YOU HAVE CHOSEN A TIMED DELIVERY THEY CAN DELIVER AS EARLY AS 7AM IN THE MORNING SO BE AWARE OF THAT AND LEAVE A NOTE IF YOU ARE NOT UP.

Where do you deliver?

We can ONLY  DELIVER TO MAINLAND UK only and sadly not Scottish Highlands at this time.

How much does delivery cost?

For mainland UK the overnight courier charge is £11.78. We do not ‘pad’ our delivery charges. They are exactly as they are set by the courier. All courier costs are inclusive of VAT at 20% which can obviously be reclaimed if you are a business and VAT registered. There is the option to pay for a before 10 am delivery but this is significantly more expensive. In winter we also offer a next day service but not in summer as flowers don't like being in a van all day.

Weekday deliveries to Northern Ireland, The Channel Islands and Scotland  are not available at the moment.

What do I do with my flowers when they arrive……

Remove the outer packaging for recycling. The flowers should then be popped into the fridge in their punnets and left there until they are used.

What is the deadline for ordering for next day delivery?

If we have surplus stock you need to order before midday for next day dispatch and they will arrive the subsequent morning. BUT this only applies to the beginning of the week. At the height of the season we are booked up for weekend deliveries weeks in advance so preorder in advance to avoid disappointment. See below. Every flower is picked to order we don’t pre-pick or store any flowers. They are picked and packed by us and popped in a chiller until the courier collects them. They are then transported overnight to arrive with you guaranteed before 12 noon. (We can arrange for a 10am delivery at an additional charge). The flowers are packaged in recycled and recyclable punnets in thermally insulated cardboard boxes with chiller packs.

In the event of a delivery not being delivered within the quoted time, Maddocks Farm Organics shall not be liable for any losses, costs damages or expenses incurred to either the customer or a 3rd party.
