    Seasonal Edible Flowers

    Buy seasonal edible flowers

Buy seasonal edible flower selection. A selection of sweet or very mild flavoured flowers which are perfect for garnishing cakes, popping on puds or floating in your cocktails. These pretty little flowers are the ones used by professional chefs to garnish  desserts.

These flowers are all winter hardy and grown in our unheated polytunnels in the (hopefully!) milder Devon weather. The boxes will typically contain some pansies, violas and primulas as well as some other seasonal additions. The contents will vary slightly throughout the winter but will typically contain approximately 55 sweet flowers of mixed colours.

We should add that we are a tiny family firm and do pick every box to order so if you want a particular range of colours then please do add to the notes as you go through the order process.

Please do preorder these if you need them for a specific dates as we don’t always have enough to send out short notice. You can pre-order here now as you will be asked to choose your preferred delivery date when you order.

    Buy Tagetes Flowers

(100 + Tagetes flowers per box)

Tagetes flowers are stunning little stars of yellow, orange and red. They have a citrus – almost Seville marmalade flavour -a bit like kumquats. Both the flowers and leaves are edible which means that they can be displayed as little sprigs. Tagetes also hold very well (see the flowerpot muffins below) so are great for cakes and for floating either as individual flowers or as sprigs in cocktails.

Their sweet/tart flavour means that they work brilliantly with both sweet and savoury dishes. Think duck or game; fruit salads; trifles….. you name it. The yellow are a little more lemony in flavour so work well with fish as well.

We pick in mixed colours but can just picked just yellow, orange or red as you wish. Just specify when you order.

If you’d like your Tagetes as sprigs then do let us know but please be aware that we can only get 40 sprigs to the box.
